Tha Pyay Tan Fortress is located near the old Sagaing Bridge, Mandalay, Myanmar.

It was built on 3rd December, 1874, and it took over 4 years to build this. There are another two Fortresses named Sin Kyone Fortress and Sagaing Fortress (A Say Khan Fortress). Among these three fortresses, Tha Pyay Tan fortress is the biggest.

Although there are shady trees near that fortress, it is absolutely hot during the afternoon. Therefore, I think it is better to go there in the evening because you can watch the sunset too.
